Carnival Extravaganza
This carnival is guaranteed to get everyone into the festive mood!
Children and parents will get the opportunity to discover the carnival world, from preparation, rehearsal, and finally, the parade.
15 minute Capoeira (Brazilian martial art and dance) or Brazilian dancers show
The guests will all be divided into different teams, each representing a dance school. Within each team, the members will have to chose from a selection of workshops where their talents can be best used in order to create the best parade. At the end of the day, all schools will perform and the best one will be chosen.
Sample of Carnival activities
- Samba (create a simple dance routine for the parade)
- Band (create the rhythm of their parade)
- Costume making (extravagant carnival costumes, made with simple materials)
- Mask making (papier-mâché huge masks making)
